Christmas is here :D
And so I decided to make a short blog post on it. Don't forget to check out my Bloggy Video at the end of this post.
As soon as its December the 1st, I go and grab my advent calendar. Who doesn't like a little present everyday? For those who don't know what advent calendars are, they simply are a box with 'slots' under which is a little surprise for every day leading up to Christmas. And this year I came across a few 'Online Advent Calendars'. Yes, they are a 'little' away from tradition, but they are not too bad. (Links to a few of them will be at the end of this blog post)
But everyone is not like me. Some of us mark 1st of December as 'the start of Mega-Shopping'. After all, you have to buy presents, Christmas onsies and jumpers, home decor, Christmas tree and decorations, and finally your own new Christmas dress. Oh and lets not forget all the gift wrapping 'stuff'. Talking about presents, we all need a little guide to buying presents (especially for men!! Oh what a pain). Some people even go to extent of buying presents for pets (which is obviously, adorable!! Who doesn't like a new milk bowl?)
From a small grocery to a big branded shop, everyone gets their own Christmas range and make their shops look like Santa's cave. (One reason why I love shopping in December!)Everything from jumpers and socks to Cake Decorations are Christmas themed. (Ohh and those candles!)
These are the days when people (most of them?) opt to ditch their Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber songs for something more Christmasy! Merry Christmas Everyone, Jingle Bells and Driving Home for Christmas are just a few to list down. Adding on, movies like The Snow Man, Christmas Carol and The Elf add just the perfect touch to these nights. Looking for something funnier? You can always go for Home Alone! For those who prefer books instead of watching movies, well then don't be upset cause there is a good range of Christmas novels like Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas. (Link to a few will be at the end of the Blog Post for you to check out!)
Am I Forgetting Something?
Ohh Yes!
FOOD! Isn't that like the best part of Christmas? (Ohh wait, or is it the presents? I am Confused!)
Chocolate pudding, stuffing, roasts, turkey, ginger bread, gravy and the list goes on! I could spend the whole day writing down all that you can find on you Christmas dinner table, but I could only wish for that much of time.
Sum it up? Father Santa, Present Anxiety, Family Dinner, After Parties and Presents sums it all up. Ohh and the Christmas Tree :D With all the fairy lights, mistletoe and beads!!
I still want to write down so much more but I will prefer to not bore you. And the links I promise you are right here! (A little present from my side if you will? ;) )
