The Ultimate Chocolate Brownies

Something happened this weekend. Oppssiiee!
I went to the kitchen and got my hands on some chocolate and flour, heehhe.

Here is the recipe I used to make these chocolate brownies. I love them. Have a go at them during your weekend or when ever you are free.

Per Brownie: 380 cals, 28g fat, 25g carbohydrate
Preparation time: 20 minutes, plus cooling
Cooking time: 1-1.5 hours

Ingredients:

Salted Butter - 100g
Dark Chocolate - 200g
Sugar - 150g
Cocoa Powder - 15g
Self-raising flour - 35g
Eggs - 3 small
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Nuts (Optional)

Procedure:

1) Preheat the oven to 170C or mark 3 (150C fan oven). Grease your pan with butter and if required line with baking parchment (I don't line my tray)

2) Melt the chocolate and butter on a pan with simmering water. Stir it occasionally till you think it is melted. Leave it to cool.

3) While it is cooling down, beat the sugar and egg together till its white and fluffy.

4) Now add the nuts, vanilla essence, melted chocolate-butter and cocoa powder. For the nuts, I used pistachios and almonds. But of course you can decide the type and quantity.

5) Lastly, fold the flour with the mixture using a wooden spoon and pour it into your chosen pan.

6) I baked my tray for about an hour and a half. But do check your brownies every 20 minutes by poking a knife and seeing if it comes out dry. (Indicating that the brownies are cooked).

(Yup those are knife marks and no it's not burned. The lighting played it up)

7) I personally like to cool it for about 2 hours. That makes the brownies nice and soft from the inside but crunchy from the outside.

And Wala!!
You have the chocolate brownies ready.
I like to serve it with either Coffee or vanilla ice cream. Suit your taste :)

Tips:
1) Don't let the batter set aside for long. Making sure that all the ingredients are ready before you mix everything is a good idea.
2) ALWAYS preheat the oven and allow the baked product to cool.

ENJOY..!
